Shimoga Circle : The same focus is adopted in Shimoga Circle; in addition training is imparted to local NGOs involved in JEPM activity based on request and staff continue to collaborate with the local KFD staff promoting activities.
Myrada
has consolidated and analysed all its activities. The Draft copy of the report will be handed over to the Project Director in July 2000; this is part of the process of
withdrawal from the Project area. The project ends in March 2001.
Process of Withdrawal:
-
SHGs formed by MYRADA will be linked to Banks, Government departments, Zilla Panchayat, etc. Auditing of Groups will be taken up in July 2000, with the help and support of other MYRADA projects. The audit process will enable the groups to take financial support from Banks.
-
MYRADA has identified potential trainers from within KFD, some of whom are placed at the Forest Training Centre in Gungaraghatti and Thatihalla. Some of the RFOs are good trainers who will continue to train staff and community in their respective divisions.
-
MYRADA will link the VFCs in the working area to other formal institutions.
